In this workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of letterpress printing on a table-top platen press by creating their own business cards. Students will learn how to set type, lock up a form, ink and adjust the press, print, and clean the press. We will learn a brief history of Letterpress while experiencing the collaborative nature of the craft. Each student will leave with a stack of their own custom letterpress printed business cards (or calling cards.)
